Hair.

My hair has been driving me batty. When I get in the car I have to wrastle, yes I said wrastle, it away from the seat belt. If it's windy it will get caught out that dang car door. After I am seated and situated I may reach to adjust the Radio and my hair is pinned at my back and it yanks some how at my scalp so I have to do the hand-around-the-back-of-my-neck-swoop-grab to bring it forward. When I put my purse over my shoulder I have to grab my hair and rip it from between the strap and my shoulder. When I go to bed I wake up to shift in the middle of the night and have to fully whip my head to move my hair from one side of the pillow to the other. It's a hair rainbow that is 18" in diameter. Gross. I have naturally curly hair. It is at a length that I do not fuss with it due to the humidity thwarting any styling efforts. Enough!

Have a seat ladies and let me tell you a bedtime story. I knew a girl once with the same hair as mine. She did not know what to do with it. She gelled the curls, straightened it every so often. It was not stylish and she needed a solution. So one day she had her hair cut into a bob, a lob, a tousled noggin of chestnut hair. It became easier to style and straighten and curl. It was a wonderful move. Even the humidity surrendered and let her mixture of goops and serums do their job.

I too have made that move. Since my hair is so long and I want it short I am donating the extra to Locks of Love. It's not that big of a deal because if I'm going to chop the stuff off anyways I might as well ship it the people to do something with. Moving on.

I went to my hair lady, Debbie. She has always respected my hair plans and been totally fun to talk to. I used to be the no talky client but with her we just laugh and laugh. Today we talked about Louis Vuitton stripper shoes and our Dan husbands; she has a Dan too :)

She cut the stuff off for the donation then went to work. She had it at my shoulders and I said go shorter. Her eyes lit up like a dang Christmas tree. She used Moroccan oil on it. I can still smell it. The A/C just kicked on and flashed my short hair by my nose. So delish. Might need to go get me some. Anyways, Debbie said I was her favorite cut of the day but I know I'm probably gunna remain her fav for the week. I mean come on. Look see.

After, complete with hives from the excitement!!

Office swag. What?!

I think it will be super fun to let it be a juicy fro one day, then a tousled crop the next, then straight like today. Goodbye hair of my youth and HELLO NEW DO!!

I Dang Love It.

There are some things in this world that make me feel truly feminine. Truly a girl, a women, just seeping from my pores and I want to scream it to the mountain tops (that don't exist in Texas) " I AM A WOMAN!!!!". Maxi dresses, wearing too many rings, gettin my nails did, insert your go-to-girly-item here.

A brilliant friend of mine, Courtney of C. Whimsy Designs, posted this "Inside Chanel" video on her blog. If you are like me and you have not smelled No. 5 since you were a little girl rummaging through your grandmother's odds and ends on her bathroom counter, then be prepared to experience an overwhelming urge to run to the nearest make up counter and try this scent to see if it fits you.

We Been Busy, Yo.

So we have been chugging along these past few weeks. Fall is here and we couldn't be happier. PSL's, football, sweaters, and more football.

1. We went to the LSU/Towson game to tailgate. It was The Danimal's first LSU game. The Tiger fan base was accused of not showing up, that unless people were dressed like empty chairs then yes, the stadium was empty. The picture of random kids below proves that yes no one was really there, but also people were dressed up as empty seats. So there.

2. Dan the Man and I watched his Aggies kick Ar-Kansas' rear-end. And I rocked that button because my next favorite team, besides LSU and aTm, is whoever is playing Bama.

3. I texted this picture to my hairdresser asking if I should cut it all off. Then I remembered she has short short hair so I ignored her reply. My hair remains long.

4. The Man and I went to the Kountze Football game Friday night to support the school's cheerleaders who are fighting to express their faith with huge signs with encouraging bible verses during the pregame. You Go Girls!!

The halftime show was awesome. The band was comprised of true banders, two drill teamers, a cheerleader, two colorguarders, and the lone tuba player was a football player  You can see his red pants and shiny instrument below. I think it is awesome how involved these kids are and that the coaches let them do as much as they can to support their school. The football player was awesome!! Look at him.

Another highlight was when prior to the halftime show the xylophone crew warmed up on the side of the field where Dan and I were. Dan commented that he had never watched football to xylophones. When they stopped the music he said he missed it.

5. I got us some cool pillows...more will be added. I think I might get addicted to changing out couch pillows. I need color. I'm just a wuss about it and felt safe with all brown. Typical.

6. Over the weekend LSU lost to florida, anybody surprised? No. Exactly. Moving on. My family sleeps when I am most in need, when my Tigers are down. What a crock.

7. One time I cleaned my stove. I was so excited I took a picture to remember what it looks like. Isn't that nice? Don't answer that.

8. My adding machine, circa de middle school, finally died on me. Stupid machine.

Stay tuned for more. Up next The Danimal and I go to BR for the LSU/South Carolina game. I will not cry and make my way onto the field forcing Les to relinquish his headset (Dan wouldn't stop me). Geaux Tigers!
