One day closer to game day in Baton Rouge with my man!!! I can't wait to share the day with him and watch the Golden Band from Tiger Land march down Victory Hill!!
Facts:
It (hopefully) won't be an exciting game
It will indeed rain
The campus will not be packed
People will leave the stadium early
I will dance gleefully across the empty bleachers in the second half, in the rain, while cheering my tigers on to victory.

Four Year Check Up
Inspired by real mom blog posts:
Lily
Lily
Weight: 58 lbs
Height: 26" (I made that up)
Wears big dog collars.
Hates dog shoes.
Hates dog shoes.
Sleeps all darn day then goes bazerk when mom and dad get home at night.
Snores when she sleeps (turn up the volume on your computer before watching).
If she could, she would like to go outside and "potty" about twenty times an evening. She sits by the door, maybe graces us with a dog grunt, gets one of us to let her out, she searches for a lizard or bug (about 5 seconds), then sits by the door and wants back in. Eventually she will scratch the window and or bark/grunt. Dan always falls for it and makes her 'sit' and lets her out. Then, five minutes later she wants back out and he says, "D, it's your turn to let her out". I say, "nope, she does not need to potty. She is playing you. 'Lily! come here!". She comes over, we cuddle/I distract her with anything. The process starts over.
In the mornings she is very reluctant to get out of the house when mommy has to leave for work. Mommy is always running behind and Lily likes to take her sweet time getting her butt off the couch to make the long walk to the carport door. She literally hangs her head low and creeps her way out.
The vet told us to cut back on her meals. Daddy does not help when he feeds her chips and bacon and potatoes and just about anything else.
I'm pretty sure she understands English.
She prefers to sleep in the guest bed. Dog bed in the bedroom no longer cuts it so if we don't shut the doors to the guest rooms she will sneak off to do her own thing once we have fallen asleep/she goes in ninja-dog-mode and moves out after we tuck her in. She literally gets tucked in every night with an extra blanket so we get upset when in the morning the blanket is dragged halfway towards the door proving she has indeed left the room.
When she gets wet from a rain shower her head still smells like skunk.
Her fine motor skills are quite impressive. Watch her right dog "hand" at the beginning. Momma Proud.

A Win Is A Win
This past weekend my parents came over to practice tailgate before we head to Baton Rouge this weekend for our first RV tailgate. On Friday my Mamaw and Gran-gran called me to see if the hillbillies/trailer trash had made it successfully. They did indeed. The Clampets unloaded and tookover lol. Mom put the flag up and the rug out and the chairs and Dad and Dan worked on the generator.
Mom then turned her attention to the inside of my house to take that over too. We had lights and coolers and pom poms and footballs and flags there.
Lily proved her tiger-ness with the following video. She went crazy like this for the next three hours. Then, much like other football teams you have seen, she passed out in the second half; snoozeville.
Dad and Dan set up the RV TV in the house so we could watch LSU AND aTm play. That was pretty darn great. Inspiration for our next purchase, perhaps. This house divided had a win-win weekend. And next weekend we have tickets to the LSU vs Towsen game. I don't know who Towsen is or where they come from but on Saturday this family will be in Death Valley yelling at them.

DJ! That's My Jam!!!
Music is the best thing since sliced bread...and since my house can't eat bread, music is the best thing since corn tortillas.
Please take a moment and enjoy this song I am currently playing on repeat. It's not new but it's great!!!
Get jazzy, Baby.

Top Ten Revised...Number 1 And A Half
If you don't have school spirit for where you went maybe you were not able to take advantage of all that your school offered. Maybe college for you was like high school for me; a place to work and get out and move on.
For me, college was extra special. My parents and Mamaw and Gran-gran worked hard to let me go to that school and be a DG. I never forgot that they were the reason I got to be there. Everyday was a blessing. I had a job and worked the entire time I was at school. I missed all but four games my freshman and sophomore years because I had to work (I had tickets but sold many of them because I needed the money and was most often scheduled to work during the games). I was an officer or highly involved in a social organization the whole time and I graduated in four years. I have a sizable amount of student loans to pay back because of the school I chose. I'm not trying to boast or complain, really. I'm just laying out the facts that make my school so sweet to me. I am forever a Tiger. Love Purple, Live Gold, baby!!

Dan's Top Four
Dan shared with me a few things that made him happy. I couldn't get ten out of him but I'll work on it.
Numbers 1-3. Dan told me that besides me and Lily, he enjoyed working outside to make our yard nicer. Last weekend his buddy Greg, not brother Greg, came over with four chainsaws to cut down the back fence line full of those weed tallow trees. Dan has a goal to let grass grow up to the line so we can mow and tend the fence in a more manageable way.
I asked Greg if he had brought four chainsaws in case one would break down he could just fire up another. To my dismay he said yes. I immediately shot a glance at Dan and saw a huge grin appear as if the light bulb going off in his head had just become the realization that he no longer needed one chainsaw, he needed four chainsaws. I had just opened Pandora's yard crasher box.
4. Surprise, surprise to those of you that know Dan, but he does enjoy working in his shop. He likes taking things apart and getting them back together in one attempt. Thank goodness the weather is better and he can spend more time doing what he
loves.
I believe I took the picture below earlier in the year. Lily was chomping on a bug.
Dan was getting ready to set up the shop doors with his Dad. That was an interesting project. They worked for hours and made it happen. They got both openings ready for the doors and one door up. The next weekend Dan asked me to help him get the last door up to fill the opening you see in the picture below. It was not a good time. I dropped the huge rolled up door as we were cranking it high up. Very stressful. The stress from it all impaired my memory of it so as far as I am concerned I blacked out after the drop.

Feel Good Post: Making A List...
I would venture to say that we are pretty similar, you and I. Let's make a connection.
Goals. We are all supposed to have them. Some private, some public. I put my goals down in list form. Maybe you do too. I enjoy making lists. I always have. The problem is, my lists have lists.
Goals. We are all supposed to have them. Some private, some public. I put my goals down in list form. Maybe you do too. I enjoy making lists. I always have. The problem is, my lists have lists.
Below are titles of a few of my lists. I have 87 total on my iPhone (gasp):
Goals
Musically Challenged-music I need to download/check into and see if they should be downloaded. I consider myself musically sheltered so my aim to know all kinds and when I share my music I want everyone to have a good time
Visit-Places all over the world
Ten Things That Make Me Happy
Next Paycheck-What I need/want next time I have money-this was very helpful in college to prioritize the little I had
Dan's Shopping List-Dan even tells me what he needs to buy next
Ideas
Quotes-helps me narrate my FB albums after fun times with friends...if you say something brilliant I will write it down and quote you later
Garden-Plants that I could keep alive...maybe
Gift Ideas-head start on Christmas, nobody look at my phone-ADRIENNE! Erika told me about your snooping-for-present-ways
Names-future baby names, this may be my oldest list :)
Fun Stuff To Do
Teacher Ideas-I still dream about being a teacher
Today I will share my Ten Things That Make Me Happy List:
1. Dan-Among other great things, he looks really good when he weed whacks. Don't tell him I told you. He will be embarrassed... and weirded out that I took pictures of him without him knowing...of him weed whacking.
2. Reality TV
3. Nail Polish- It doesn't even have to be on ME; collecting bottles, seeing other people's nails. I just love it.
4. New apparel
5. Music/being the DJ
6. Buying pieces for the house, decorating
7. Party Planning/Executing
8. Being Crafty
Before
Middle Stage, waiting to hang the horns-Saw 'em off!
I was going to use chain but gave up and used twine to hold the horns.
9. Cooking new recipes or just cooking in general. The way to my heart is food so I try to get to others that way too. This is a Prosciutto, Asparagus and Parmesan Spaghetti. It is super easy and fast and wayyyy delicious
10. Lily. Enough said.
I forget who I am sometimes. Days go by and you get lost in the shuffle. I made this list in July. I felt better. I know what I like, for the most part, and that's a pretty good thing.
Maybe if you're feeling a little down today, write down your ten things that make you happy. I think it will make you smile.

Fantasy Football
Dan and I have joined a Fantasy Football League with The Jeff Wamhoff Clan and Mikey. Neither Dan nor I have done it before but I love watching football and Dan played it so...no problem.
I took choosing our team name very seriously. I got on the Google and starting poking it for inspiration. The central theme is you need to make your name a play on a player's name, or a team name, or some event that went down in NFL history.
For example:
Make it Wayne
Rice, Rice Baby
ABC, Easy as RGIII
Farve Dollar Footlong
Brady Gaga
Back That Asomough Up
Corn on the Schaub
Dan wanted Kountze in there and I wanted something local so we settled on "Kountze Bounty Hunters" to play off of the Saints bounty hunting scandal from last season. I like it. A lot.
We were unable to load an image to the team logo (ESPN only lets you do so much and I can only imagine why they wouldn't let thousand's of men choose their logo willy-nilly...things that make you go "ugh") so below are the images that would have worked for our team page. It's not like the boys would have cared anyway so I enjoy sharing with the girls who read this blog.
Dog the Bounty Hunter and His Wife
Saints' New Logo. JK.
Saints Offensive Coordinator on Dog's Face
Super Mad Big Guy
Yep. This should be fun. We are not playing for money. Just pride. It will be fun talking to the Jeff Wamhoff Clan at the wedding in January about it all. I'll let you know how it goes. We are only on game one, week one but it was a ton of fun tracking all 14 points our team earned. Look Out!
Are you in a league? How do you feel about Fantasy Football?
