33 Weeks

33 Weeks

Dan brought me a beachball

Then he got involved

He said his belly was bigger so he "wins"

He asked if he should fix his hair and I laughed so hard I couldn't get a clear picture.

He then walked out of the bathroom and joyfully told Lily he made the blog :)

Church Camp

At long last I got to go on my church's pre-confirmation camp trip. I drove my mom-van with 6 middle schoolers to La Grange, Texas to Camp Lone Star, a Lutheran Camp. Our pastor drove his car with 3 more kids.

My co-pilot working the selfie angle.

We got there in record time! Pastor and I are pretty good driving buddies.

The students got right into get-to-know-you-games and my kids in particular got to being weird. While the rest of the kids from other churches were playing a red light/green light game like normal human beings, some of mine were rolling on the ground and being human hurdles.

The next day was full of activities. I sat my pregnant self down on the ground and laughed and enjoyed how funny these kids are. Clever, clever little buggers.

I don't feel as big as I look but I had to be honest with myself when I decided that wearing Dan's shirts over the weekend would be the best choice. Evidence:

On the way home after spending the day with the kids I got to know that they are really good with bible study, I must admit; super impressed lady over here. But more importantly they are messy, loud, scrappy, goofy kids. Every kid got a bruise and/or a scrape and I no longer trusted them in my car. They broke a few of my rules on the ride over so I put the lock down on food and drinks and was no longer Miss' new, nice lady. I sure do enjoy them one on one, but in packs...(shaking my head).

I am still sore and exhausted from the whirlwind 29 hour trip but so grateful I got to know the middle schoolers in our church better.

Next church event: Trunk or Treat! Stay tuned.

What Goes Bump in the Night...or Day

Check out this little clip of aweseome-ness...he has the hiccups and gets one good kick in. Most of the action is on the left side of the video.

Nesting

We are cleaning-cleaning-cleaning and nesting like no other. Future daddy finished painting the boy's room over the weekend!

Moving right along...he set up the crib and starting getting my pretties up on the walls...so far so good!  8 weeks to go...

Life's Little Fanicies

My tenth grade History teacher, Mr Stanford, would always holler at us kids as the bell rang for us to leave on Fridays...He had this stock speech he would roll out. That phrase has stuck with me for life, "Do all things in moderation".

True story!

Dan and I have been feeling the pinch of saving and it feels like there is no end in sight. Something always comes up. Broken (insert house item), busted (insert car part), increase in (insert payment name here).

To help me through it, it is life's little fancies that keep me smiling.

Weekend Fun

Boy oh Boy did we have a productive weekened at home!

One of my favorite clients hosted a Monster Truck remote. Monster Mayhem traveled to Beaumont so before the show that Saturday night, one of the trucks stopped by my clients for people to check out.

I came home to laundry heaven, football, and my cute family. Dan imitated Lily. Adorbs.

Sunday was a painting day for Dan and I. He had a larger canvas.

Love, Love, Love the gray I picked out for the baby boy's room!

I wanted to do a portrait of Lily for the boy's room so I got to it. I copied the look from Blue Dog, the basic outline of how to draw a dog, but I managed to make Lily look like a bear. Whatever. I still like it and am going to hang it. Even though it's creepy.

Then Lily found a squeaky ball. She just loooves to make noise. So funny!! This video is literally her just squeaking the ball. Over and over and over and over.

After a long day I noticed that my bump is bigger than I remember so I took a picture. 30.5 weeks. Ready to see his pretty boy face but loving all we have planned to prep for him while he is still wrapped up in my tum.
