Float the Guad

To celebrate my parents 28th Anniversary they bought a fifth wheel and less than twelve hours later they took that thing on vacation to the beautiful Texas hill country.

That trailer got some thangz on it!!! We must RV in a big-big way.

Dan, Ari, and I drove up to meet them at their shady spot in Canyon lake, near New Braunfels. We planned to float the river but learned that the Guadelupe river had not had the rain water that Southeast Texas had. That being said we tubed anyway.... and so did about 1,500 of our closest friends.

Before we hit the river we set up our beverages. Dan's G free choice was the Cuervo margarita....say it like Fred, "excellent".

We waited like good boys and girls for the bus to come whisk us away to river rat heaven.

Ari being all "H town" chunkin the duece.

Ari brought combo pretzels to snack on. She threw one to the little duck here. I was so scared that duck was going to choke on the huge pretzel. I told Ari she needed to break up the rest of her shared snacks because if I had to give mouth to mouth to a river duck I was going to slap her on the mouth. No man OR duck shall die on my watch.

There were so many places where we had to either get out of the tube and push our way over the shallows or Dan and my Dad had to get out and pull us girls. Dan handed me his hat every time.  His hat smelled real bad so I placed it on my head to avoid touching it for too long. Later that evening I scrubbed the thing. YUCK!!!!

The happy Couple!!!

"Hey Dan, take our picture!!"

Thumb.

Thumb.

Thumb. lol.

On our way back to Houston, Dan and I had to stop by and see the Marilee (sp?) Wamhoffs in preparation for our adventures in babysitting weekend coming up. Adrienne informed us that Little A had been sour grapes all day and that she needed to nap for as long as possible. She woke up covered in sweat and looked like this. lol her hair was beautiful but she was grumpy face. Luckily this picture has Erika looking lovely as ever to compensate for sour grape baby face. lol. I love the juxtaposition.

Brenner was on fire. Here are just a few short clips of Uncle Dan and Brenner getting down in funky town.

My favorite part of the play time was hearing Adrienne and Greg yelling at Dan to play tougher with Boo. Those parents pull at my heartstrings.
